I have a confession: I am a Food52 addict. If you don't know about Food52 (and it's high time you did) it is a collaboration between Amanda Hesser and Merrill Stubbs, bringing together the best seasonal recipes from home cooks everywhere. Each week two themed contests are announced, calling for contributions. After careful tasting and testing, two finalists in each contest are chosen by Amanda and Merrill. The final vote is left up to all Food52 members to cast. At the end of the year (52 weeks) the winners will be published in a cookbook published by HarperStudios. This is a fun, interactive and collaborative forum that keeps everyone on their creative-cooking toes and provides readers with an ever-increasing source of delicious recipes from talented home cooks, bloggers and chefs. I am hooked.
This week's themes are appropriately festive for the holidays: Your Best Holiday Punch and Best Edible Gift. I am delighted that my Spiced Gløgg with Port Wine and Cointreau recipe has been chosen as one of the finalists, right up there with a spirited cider recipe and 2 sinfully delicious edible gifts.
